We had plenty of visitors to keep us busy through the fall. It was so fun to have family and friends in town to show them the ropes in our new city. Here’s a quick recap of our guests:
September – The McGlynn’s!
We took these guys to all of the tourist spots – Big Ben, The Eye, St.Paul’s, Borough Market – you name it! Such a fun time exploring with T&E 🙂
October – Girls weekend with Lisa (& baby!)
Lisa broke the news that she was pregnant when she came to see me, I was soooo shocked but SO excited. We both sat in public crying for a few minutes, but after that our whole time was spent shopping, eating, and her becoming a mama! AHHHH!!
November – B.Heath
Brandon came for about a week and definitely wins MVP for seeing the most stuff in the least time. He did tours every day, including a 6 hour walking tour of all the central London sites. Joe and him also took a few days and went to Chelsea Football Stadium, Churchill War Rooms, and they even did a Jack the Ripper tour. To round out his London trip, we went to a football game and had a traditional roast dinner.
December – The Doyle’s
Luckily when Kristin and Alex were here the weather was great. We were able to do a lot of walking and got to take them to central London for a steak & crab feast, as well as to Portobello Road & Chelsea. We had soooo much fun celebrating New Year’s at a local bar, and recovered the next day by holing up in a pub and enjoying some leisurely pints. I was so sad to see them go, but hoping they plan another trip this year!
