So although we haven’t developed English accents, we have started picking up some words and phrases they use here. Never thought I’d ever ask, “Where’s the loo?”
jumper = sweater
kick up = get angry
take a wee = go to the bathroom (not joking, people say this out loud)
well done = good job
pack = suitcase
breathe in = squeeze
lift = elevator
lie in = sleep late
mobile = cell phone
ta = thank you
zed = z (no many how many times I spell my name for people I can never remember this)
